Mr. Ambassador,
On behalf of the WCPDM in the USA, we welcome you and your family to the United States of America. This meeting to welcome you has been wanting; but because of circumstances beyond our control, it could only take place today. Before I continue, permit me to acquaint you with members of my delegation who accompanied me in this August visit: Mrs. Adel Effa (Sec. WCPDM-USA) Mrs. Esther Mbiakoup (Treasurer WCPDM USA) Mrs. Pauline Abah (Auditor- designated) Ms. Damaris Tumentang (President WCPDM Mid-Atlantic Subsection), Agnes Njengue (Vice President Mid-Atlantic Sub-Section) Desiree Mawellet (President WCPDM Eastern Subsection), Vivian Oumbe ( Branch President New York 3) and Lady Kate Njeuma (Sec. Southeaster Subsection)
We are highly honored to finally have this opportunity to meet with you.

We recognize the fact that you represent all Cameroonians and our great nation, the Republic of Cameroon. We are however proud that we share the same vision by way of our great party, the CPDM and we cannot proceed without first congratulating you for this noble position as Cameroon Ambassador to the United Nations. We believe it is evident of the confidence that the head of State and National Chairman of the CPDM party, H.E President Paul Biya and the Cameroonian people have in you. We say again to you; congratulations.

Your Excellency, The WCPDM-USA conveys our gratitude through you to the National Chairman of our party, President Paul Biya for giving the Cameroonian Women the unique opportunity and the great honor to militate here in the Diaspora and for empowering the Cameroonian Women and also in the emancipation of the female child in Cameroon. The number of women in various leading and prime positions in the country has increased even as he is the pioneer president to appoint the first females as Senior Divisional Officer and as the Director of Customs. We thank him from the bottom of our hearts for recognizing that women can, and are capable of partnering with the men in the development of our great nation.

Your Excellency, we also want to remind you that we are standing here today as a recognized Section of CPDM USA following our creation in April 2007 by a Delegation representing our National Chairman and the Central Committee of the ruling CPDM Party. Through this initiative, some concerns and worries of militants abroad who had been militating for many years before the arrival of the Delegation was put to rest. We thank everyone who made our recognition a reality. Even though we have had a difficult start as a Section, we shall not fail them.

The Head of State, in considering the United States for a Section, recognized the potential of CPDM militants who had been militating here, for which, our beloved country can tap from as a resource for our country’s development. The WCPDM USA militants are quite capable of partnering with the WCPDM in Cameroon to build a stronger and vibrant nation. It is one of the reasons we are here to have a conversation with you and to ask for your help and guidance to ensure that our recognition as a Section in the USA is not a fickle of anyone’s imagination but a force to recon with in the political, social, cultural and economic development of our great nation, Cameroon.

Mindful of the leadership position conferred upon us, and considering our National Chairman’s continuous call for unity, nation building and the expansion of our national resources, we accept the responsibility bestowed on us by the CPDM party in establishing the Women’s wing of the Party in the United States of America. As WCPDM Section President, I pledge my unflinching loyalty, respect and honor to the leadership to uphold the constitution of the party and to work towards the education of the Cameroonian Woman. Through our efforts here in the United States, the Cameroonian woman shall be instilled with the necessary knowledge to know who we are, what we stand for, and what our contributions are towards the development of our great nation. We promise to keep the good reputation of our CPDM party in the Diaspora because we do acknowledge that a good reputation is like a glass; cannot be repaired once it is broken.

As a young Section, we have many problems. The main problem is mobilizing the base and recruiting more militants for our party. To accomplish this feat we are reaching out to the masses even though we have a vast area to cover considering how large the United States is. We have already started meeting with Women in different States and recruitment is advancing within the party. In a few weeks ahead, we shall be establishing a new Subsection (the South Central) with the headquarters in Dallas. We already have established the Mid-Atlantic, the South Eastern and the Eastern subsections. I also will like to take this unique opportunity to announce a creation of a new branch of the party in the South Eastern Subsection called Atlanta Central; thanks to the leadership work of the WCPDM and CPDM subsection presidents Mrs.

Esther Ayuk and Mr. Sammy Ngalame respectively for a job well done. We have equally implanted comrades in different states who are doing the groundwork of recruiting militants for the success and rapid expansion of the Women’s Wing of the party in America. All these expenses have come from personal sacrifices. We are willing to continue making personal financial sacrifices as evident in our presence before you here today but a little financial help from anywhere could go a long way to continue our expansion initiative. We are excited, energetic and ready to work.

Your Excellency, we cannot over- emphasize the need for a strong and good collaboration between your high office and us.
Your Excellency, I will not be honest to you and to my conscience if I close this speech without enumerating some difficulties encountered by the CPDM militants since creation in April of 2007. When welcoming our National Chairman during his yearly visits to the United Nations General Assembly we recognize that we could do things differently from the way it has been done in the past. Mindful of the fact that you have been newly appointed to the United Nations office, we will like to acquaint you with some of the difficulties that we have encountered in the past.
Disorganization and lack of proper coordination.

The only Country that stands on the streets and sometimes under the rain for hours leaving our National flag on the streets for only a fanfare or photo ups.
Never given the opportunity to meet with our National Chair Man or the first lady to dialogue or to have a conversation with them on varying issues.

As WCPDM militants in the USA we would like to propose the following for your consideration to you for revision:
To be treated with dignity and respect whenever we are invited to welcome our National chairman and president of our Country Cameroon.
To accord us the opportunity to play an active role in welcoming our National chairman and the First Lady during their annual visits to the UN.

To be granted the opportunity to meet and dialogue with our Head of State and the first Lady who are our National Chairman of the CPDM party and the Honorary President of WCPDM respectively
To ask for a modification of the fanfare welcome by militants usually sometimes during stormy weather in the streets of New York to welcome our National Chairman and his delegation to a more meaningful assemblage whereby militants and can meet with the National Chairman in a hall to have a conversation him and maybe with other party ranking officials of our party.

We love to be considered if need be in representing Cameroon in various Missions both at home and abroad.
We like to thank you for granting us this opportunity to meet and introduce ourselves to you and we are truly looking forward to brighter and better working relations with your office.

WCPDM DELEGATION IN NEW YORK TO WELCOME PRESIDENT BIYA IN 2007

2007 was a very busy year for WCPDM USA. Mrs Patience Tamfu led a huge delegation of WCPDM militants accross the United States of America to New York City, to welcome President Paul Biya and his entourage from Cameroon. President Biya was in New York for the Annual United Nations Conference. Several women showed up in support on behalf of WCPDM and they could be heard in the streets of New York chanting the most patriotic Cameroonian Songs. Members of President Biya's entourage including the Secretary General of the CPDM Central Committee in Cameroon Mr. Rene Sadi met with the CPDM militants at the Grand Astoria Hotel to address a few key issues affecting the state of the Party in the United States of America. Mr. Sadi and his team were able to offer some strong advice and poured their Blessings on the efforts of the CPDM and all wings of the newly installed party in the USA.

WCPDM USA SECTION PRESIDENT MEETS MRS YAOU AISSATOU IN YAOUNDE 2007

Mrs Patience Tamfu meets Mme Yaou Aissatou, WCPDM National President

Soon after she was elected President of WCPDM USA SECTION, Mrs Tamfu took a trip home to meet with the leaders of the Party to discuss her vision for the WCPDM USA SECTION. Mrs Tamfu met with the National President of the Women's Wing of the Party in Cameroon Mme Yaou Aissatou who is also a member of the Central Committee of the CPDM. Mrs Tamfu's described her meeting with Mme Yaou as very fruitful and she gained a lot of inspiration from such a powerful and dynamic Cameroonian woman who has been involved in Political life for a very long time. In this meeting Mme Yaou pledged her support for the young WCPDM USA Section and encouraged Mrs Tamfu to demonstrate great leadership in sensitizing the women in the United States of America to take interest in their country Cameroon which is still their home. Mrs Tamfu returned from her trip to Cameroon with renewed energy to do the best for Party and for the Nation.

INSTALLATION OF WCPDM USA SECTION BY DELEGATION FROM CPDM CENTRAL COMMITTEE LED BY PROF. ELVIS NGOLE NGOLE

The Executive Bureau of the newly created Section of the Cameroon People Democratic Movement, CPDM, Party, in the US, CPDM-USA, has pledged to, together with all the militants of the Section, seek ways to effectiv ely contribute to the economic growth, as well as the overall development of Cameroon.

Great Expectations
In a keynote address at the Washington DC occasion, Ngolle Ngolle urged militants of the party in the US to adhere to the party's policy of national unity, solidarity, patriotism, love, hard work, peace, civic responsibility, national integration and social justice, amongst others.
He noted that the CPDM has a special responsibility."The mission of the CPDM as defined by the National Chairman of the party is to contribute to the development of Cameroon, for the interest of all Cameroonians," Ngolle Ngolle said.
According to the Minister, Cameroonians in the US who disagree with those militating in the CPDM today could agree with them in the future. "The value of agreement is in disagreement. If you never disagree, you will not know how valuable agreement is," he said.
Ngolle Ngolle reminded the militants of CPDM-USA that people will generally expect them to be a leading Section by contributing to the development of Cameroon.

The CPDM-USA Section has taken off with six start-up sub-sections. It is would be noted that the states in the US have for now been grouped into six Sub-sections, which are: Western, South Central, Mid-Western, Mid-Atlantic, South Eastern, and Eastern.
The CPDM Central Committee organised the first Sub-section elections in Atlanta, Georgia, for the South Eastern CPDM Sub-section.In elections which held at the Marietta Conference Centre, Sammy Ngalame was elected the CPDM Sub-section President, Esther Ayuk emerged the WCPDM Sub-section President, while Miss Fesse Elonge grabbed the post of YCPDM Sub-section President.
As for the election of the Eastern CPDM Sub-section which followed next in New York, Djibril Aoudou emerged as CPDM Sub-section President, Augustinne Tankeu was elected WCPDM Sub-section President, while Florent Samou picked the post of YCPDM Sub-section President.
Delegates to the General Assembly at Washington DC, at which the pioneer Section Executive Bureaux were elected, came from all the six Sub-sections. In the Section elections, Joe Mbu was elected the CPDM Section President; Patience Tamfu was elected the WCPDM Section President, while Atanga grabbed the post of YCPDM Section President.
After his return from the US, Ngolle, told The Post that he felt honoured and privileged that the Head of State trusted him to lead the Central Committee delegation to organise the first-ever CPDM Section in the US.
He was elated to note that the CPDM-USA Section "has taken off on a good footing."
